About Our Family

If you're wondering why our site is titled "Phlash Adventures", it's because Philip and I had this cheesy idea of combining our first names to refer to our family of six. We are Philip, Ashley, Jadyn, Emily, Joshua and Avery, and we are the Crosby's...at least the ones who now live in Alaska.  We did a crazy thing, and left a comfortable life in Texas to brave the unknown in rural Alaska.  Philip and I are both teachers at the Kaltag School in the village of Kaltag, and this site is our documentation of our adventures here, and everything we encounter.  So stick around, read about our adventures, and learn along with us!
